FerRobotics' Active Compliant Technology automatically corrects the "difference" in contact pressure (force) that occurs during processing in grinding and polishing, which require skilled techniques, against dimensional tolerances, curved shapes, and non-flat surfaces at high speed. It also automatically compensates for gravitational loads, allowing for consistent grinding/polishing with a set contact force. This technology can increase the speed at which devices and robots move along their trajectories, thereby improving processing speed and cycle time. Additionally, in robotic polishing and grinding, the ACF itself controls the contact pressure by adjusting its stroke, eliminating the need to move the heavy robotic arm for corrections, which further assists in improving the processing speed of robotic polishing. Furthermore, it automatically compensates for tool loads due to gravity, which changes with the angle of the robot, ensuring a consistent contact pressure from any angle and enabling a finish without processing inconsistencies.
